Viran
"That means the other camps can't get their paws on it. We're the only ones in the Colony who get to harvest that stuff. We take what we need for ourselves, and trade the rest, and WE pick the price."
Viran is a novice harvester who doesn't trust the Hero at first, assuming any claim of being sent by Baal Orun is a setup to steal the herbs and disappear with them. Rather than take his word for it, Viran tests him with a favor: clearing out the bloodflies making the harvest dangerous, since the work would go much faster without them. Once the Hero kills the bloodflies within the area Viran specifies, he's satisfied, conceding "not bad, mate, not bad" and reasoning that whoever would risk his life for this is either on their side or a complete fool, and fools make poor grifters. He hands over the harvest and tells the Hero to take it straight to Kalom, adding that if Kalom complains it isn't enough, he should "move his bony arse over here and cut some sheafs himself."
Viran also explains the swamp camp's monopoly on swampweed: it only grows in the swamp, which means the Brotherhood are the only ones in the Colony who get to harvest it, letting them set their own price when trading the surplus to other camps. On repeat visits for the harvest, he grumbles about being asked again so soon but hands it over each time.
