"I'm in charge of the armory."

Skip runs the Old Camp armory and makes clear from the start that he only sells weapons to his own men, not to the Hero. When the Hero tries invoking Thorus's name to get a weapon, Skip is openly suspicious, doubting the claim and suggesting the Hero should clear off fast rather than push it; a threat of an ass kicking on Thorus's orders doesn't impress him either, since he figures he'd be the one doing the kicking. Even when the Hero tries invoking Gomez directly, Skip refuses to buy it and tells him to get lost.
