Bartholo
"Bartholo. You'd do well to remember that name."
Bartholo introduces himself with a warning that the Hero would do well to remember his name, and lays out his role managing trade with the other camps, camp provisions, and Gomez's women. He mentions currently keeping an eye on two incompetent chefs so they don't ruin Gomez's meals, noting Gomez is quite sensitive about that, since he had the previous chefs "fed to the snappers."
When the Hero delivers swamp herbs from Cor Kalom meant for Gomez, Bartholo inspects them and approves, remarking that the Hero came at the right time since Gomez was getting impatient, and pays out five hundred nuggets as agreed. If the delivery is incomplete, he refuses payment and sends the Hero back for the rest, warning him not to have sold any of it on the side.
Later, he seems ready for trouble from an unwanted arrival, remarking that he had a hunch someone would try a teleport before demanding, coldly, "any last words?"
