Balor

"You sure? 'Cause without a contact, no one's gonna buy this off you. You're a stranger, and no one here trusts strangers."

Balor is a novice harvester working the swamp on Baal Orun's orders. When the Hero comes to collect his harvest for Cor Kalom, Balor hands it over gladly, since it saves him the walk, and reminds him to also grab Viran's harvest on the other side of the swamp, warning that otherwise Kalom will think he pawned the rest. Asked how the work is going, he answers dryly, "what else am I gonna do out here? Fondle me balls?"

On repeat visits Balor grows suspicious that the Hero might be skimming the harvest to sell to the New Campers, charging fifty nuggets upfront, the usual rate, and warning him not to get any ideas. When the Hero asks who might buy stolen weed, Balor needles him for the interest, pointing out he's just put an idea in the Hero's head, and eventually admits he does know a possible buyer, but warns that if the gurus catch the Hero dealing, "they're gonna feed you to the swamp sharks."

After the Hero pushes further and pays fifty nuggets upfront, Balor names the buyer as Cipher, found at the tavern on the lake, and cautions the Hero to watch himself since Cipher is a cutthroat who might try to rip him off.
